• Polyacanthonotus merretti <small>Sulak, R. E. Crabtree & Hureau, 1984</small> (Bahamas spiny eel)
• Polyacanthonotus rissoanus <small>(De Filippi & Vérany, 1857)</small> (smallmouth spiny eel)
