The Obelis is a river in the Ukmergàdistrict municipality and KÃÂdainiai district municipality in central Lithuania. It flows for and has a basin area of . It is a left tributary of the NevÃÂà ¾is into which it flows near KÃÂdainiai.
The river valley is 200âÂÂ220 m wide and 8âÂÂ14 m high. The width of the river course is 5âÂÂ12 m. The rapidness of the current is 0,2âÂÂ0,3 meters per second. Kapliai Reservoir, Bubliai Reservoir and Juodkià ¡kiai Reservoir dam the Obelis river. It flows through Paobelys, à  ÃÂta, Aukà ¡tieji Kapliai, Aristava, Paobelys, and meets the NevÃÂà ¾is in KÃÂdainiai.
The river name Obelis derives from the Lithuanian word obelis ('apple tree').
