North Bontang

North Bontang (, ) is a district of the Bontang, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. As of 2024, it was inhabited by 89,010 people, and currently has a total area of 334&nbsp;km<sup>2</sup>. Its district seat is located at the village of Bontang Baru.

The district was separated on 1 December 1989 from the former district of Bontang. On 16 July 1999, West Bontang was formed out from the district. North Bontang shares borders with Teluk Pandan to the north, Teluk Pandan and West Bontang to the west, and South Bontang to the south.
