Gmina Czarny Dunajec is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Nowy Targ County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland, on the Slovak border. Its seat is the town of Czarny Dunajec, which lies approximately west of Nowy Targ and south of the regional capital Kraków.
The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2020 its total population is 22,592.
Gmina Czarny Dunajec contains the villages and settlements of Chochoà Âów, Ciche, Czarny Dunajec, Czerwienne, Dziaà Â, Koniówka, OdrowÃ à ¼, Piekielnik, PieniÃ à ¼kowice, Podczerwone, Podszkle, Ratuà Âów, Stare Bystre, Wróblówka and Zaà Âuczne.
Gmina Czarny Dunajec is bordered by the gminas of Biaà Ây Dunajec, Jabà Âonka, Koà Âcielisko, Nowy Targ, Poronin, Raba Wyà ¼na and Szaflary. It also borders Slovakia.
