1st Regional Command

The 1st Regional Command under the Vietnam People's Navy (VPN) is an independent naval warfare command that manages and protects the waters from QuÃ¡ÂºÂ£ng Ninh toÃÂ HÃÂ TÃÂ©nh and the islands in the Gulf of Tonkin, including the QuÃ¡ÂºÂ£ng Ninh provinces, Haiphong, ThÃÂ¡i BÃÂ¬nh, Nam ÃÂÃ¡Â»Ânh, Ninh BÃÂ¬nh, Thanh HÃÂ³a, NghÃ¡Â»Â An, HÃÂ TÃÂ©nh.

History

On October 26, 1975, 1st Coastal Region (VÃÂ¹ng DuyÃÂªn hÃ¡ÂºÂ£i 1) was established under the Naval Command.
In 1978, Coastal Region 1 changed its name to 1st Naval Region Command of the Navy (BÃ¡Â»Â ChÃ¡Â»Â huy VÃÂ¹ng 1 HÃ¡ÂºÂ£i quÃÂ¢n).
On 14 January 2011, the 1st Naval Region Command was upgraded to the 1st Regional Command (BÃ¡Â»Â TÃÂ° lÃ¡Â»Ânh VÃÂ¹ng 1 HÃ¡ÂºÂ£i quÃÂ¢n).

Commander: Rear Admiral NguyÃ¡Â»Ân ViÃ¡ÂºÂ¿t KhÃÂ¡nh (former Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of 1st Regional Command).
Political Commissar: Colonel HÃ¡Â»Â Thanh HoÃÂ n (former Deputy Political Commissar of 1st Regional Command).
Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff: Colonel LÃÂª ÃÂÃÂ¬nh CÃÂ°Ã¡Â»Âng.
Deputy Commander: Colonel VÃÂ© ÃÂÃÂ¬nh DuÃ¡ÂºÂ©n (former Deputy Chief of Staff of 1st Regional Command).
Deputy Commander: Colonel Phan TiÃ¡ÂºÂ¿n BÃ¡ÂºÂ£o.
Deputy Political Commissar: Colonel TrÃ¡ÂºÂ§n XuÃÂ¢n VÃÂn.
