Nagstatin is a strong competitive inhibitor of the N-acetyl-ò-d-glucosaminidase with the molecular formula C<sub>12</sub>H<sub>17</sub>N<sub>3</sub>O<sub>6</sub>. Nagstatin is produced by the bacterium Streptomyces amakusaensis.
