An etherâÂÂàâÂÂgoâÂÂgo potassium channel is a potassium channel which is inwardly-rectifying and voltage-gated.
They are named after the etherâÂÂàâÂÂgoâÂÂgo gene, which codes for one such channel in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster.
Examples include hERG, KCNH6, and KCNH7.
