Donax is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Marantaceae. It contains only one recognized species, Donax canniformis <small>(G.Forst.) K.Schum</small>, widespread from the Andaman Islands, Myanmar (Burma), southern China, Southeast Asia, New Guinea, Melanesia and Micronesia.
