Allactite is a rare arsenate mineral of metamorphosed manganese zinc ore deposits. It is found in Sweden and New Jersey, US. Its name originated from the Greek ñûûìúÃÂõùý (allaktein) meaning "to change", referring to the strong pleochroism of the mineral.
