Zacco is a genus of small freshwater ray-finned fishes belonging to the family Xenocyprididae, the East Asian minnows or sharpbellies. They are found in freshwater habitats in China and northern Vietnam. The generic name Zacco derives from the Japanese Zako (Coarse fish).
