Yih-Teen Lee is a professor of leadership and management. He joined IESE Business School in 2006 and is the academic director of the Coaching Unit and a professor in the Department of People Management in Organisations.
Yih-Teen Lee holds a PhD in Management from HEC University of Lausanne in Switzerland, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees from National Taiwan University. Prior to joining IESE, Lee held academic appointments at institutions including HEC Lausanne and ESSCA School of Management.
LeeâÂÂs research examines leadership, identity, and relational processes in organizational and global contexts. A recurring focus of his work is cultural bridging, personâÂÂenvironment fit, and dynamic balancing, examining how leaders integrate multiple cultural and identity frameworks to enable collaboration and collective leadership. His research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including Academy of Management Discoveries, the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of World Business, and Human Resource Management. He is also the co-author of several essays and has contributed to collective works on leadership and multiculturalism.
He serves on the editorial boards of academic journals in the social sciences such as the Journal of Management, the Journal of World Business, and Advances in Global Leadership. He has also served as editor the book series Diversité culturelle et dynamiques des organisations, published by ÃÂditions L'Harmattan in Paris.
In his teaching and research at IESE Business School, Lee has drawn on the Sagrada FamÃÂlia in Barcelona as a context for examining leadership, vision, symbolism, and collective work over extended periods of time. He has contributed to executive education activities that use the Sagrada FamÃÂlia as an interpretive and experiential setting for leadership learning.
