A Yamari (à ½Âà ½¤à ½²à ½Âà ¼Âà ½¢à ¾Âà ½ºà ¼Âà ½Âà ½¤à ½ºà ½ shin je she in Tibetan) is a yidam or meditation deity of the Anuttara Yoga Tantra method (father) classification. The Word à ¤¯à ¤®à ¤¾à ¤°à ¤¿ yamÃÂri in Sanskrit means Yama's Enemy There are three types of Yamari:
- Krishna Yamari (shin je she nag in Tibetan)
- Rakta Yamari (shin je she mar in Tibetan and âÂÂthe Red Enemy of Deathâ in English)
- Yamantaka (à ½Âà ½¤à ½²à ½Âà ¼Âà ½¢à ¾Âà ½ºà ¼Âà ½Âà ½¤à ½ºà ½ gshin rje gshed in Tibetan) sometimes referred to as Vajrabhairava (à ½¢à ¾¡à ½¼à ¼Âà ½¢à ¾Âà ½ºà ¼Âà ½ à ½Âà ½²à ½Âà ½¦à ¼Âà ½Âà ¾±à ½ºà ½Âà ¼ dor je jig je in Tibetan)
