In this show's fantasy world, guinea pigs, called cuyes in Spanish, are the size of cattle. They also serve the same purpose, commonly grown for meat and used in "cuy-fights". But Spanish entrepreneur Marioneta Negocios wants to get rich by rebranding guinea pigs from a delectable delicacy to a cuddly companion. She is on a collision course with Doña Quispe, a businesswoman who runs the country's most famous restaurant, El Cuchillo (the knife), and a chain of cuyes butcher shops, as a result of this PR campaign. The women's friends and relatives are swiftly drawn into this conflict.
Cinema Fantasma had previously worked with Cartoon Network on Frankelda's Book of Spooks.
