Wapniarka is a mountain in south-western Poland, in the Sudetes. It rises to above sea level and is the highest elevation of KÃ Âodzko Valley
Wapniarka lies near the village of à »elazno in Kà Âodzko County (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). In the physical geography of the municipality, it is listed among the Krowiarki peaks close to the boundary of the Bystrzyca Kà Âodzka commune.
The mountain is partly built of limestone and includes a former limestone quarry on its eastern slope. The disused Wapniarka quarry has been noted in regional environmental studies as a distinctive habitat for terrestrial molluscs, including the land snail Charpentieria ornata.
A wooden viewing tower stands on Wapniarka. According to the regional trail portal of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK), a tower was first erected in 1889, rebuilt in 1925 after a lightning strike, and a later wooden tower was constructed in the 2006âÂÂ2011 period. The summit area is reachable by marked hiking routes shown on the PTTK Lower Silesian trail network.
