Viceroys of Vietnam

In Vietnamese history, the position of viceroy (Ã§Â¸Â½Ã©ÂÂ®; TÃ¡Â»Âng TrÃ¡ÂºÂ¥n) existed for 30 years, during the reign of the Gia Long Emperor and the early years of the Minh MÃ¡ÂºÂ¡ng Emperor of the NguyÃ¡Â»Ân dynasty. They were abolished by the Minh MÃ¡ÂºÂ¡ng Emperor in 1831, and replaced with provincial governors.
