Vasile Diacon (born 2000) is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler who competes in the 70âÂÂ74 kg division. He is a bronze medalist at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships.
Diacon won the bronze medal in the 70 kg event at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia.
He also won the bronze medal in the 74 kg event at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. In U23 European competition, he secured a silver medal in 2023 (Bucharest) and a bronze in 2022 (Plovdiv).
As a junior, Diacon won the gold medal at the 2019 World Junior Wrestling Championships and a bronze in 2018. He was also the European junior champion in 2019 and cadet European silver medalist in 2017.
