The Valur women's football team, commonly known as Valur, is the women's football department of the Valur multi-sport club. It is based in ReykjavÃÂk, Iceland, and currently plays in the Besta deild kvenna, the top-tier women's football league in Iceland. The team plays its home games at HlÃÂðarendi located in ReykjavÃÂk. The team's colors are red and white.
Valur has won the Icelandic championship 11 times and the Icelandic Women's Cup 13 times.
In 2017, the team hired Pétur Pétursson as head coach. In September 2019, Valur won the national championship for the eleventh time in its history, and first time since 2010.
