In the Eastern Pacific:

• Hurricane Winifred (1992) – made landfall southeast of Manzanillo, Colima, causing minor damage.

In the Australian Region:

• Cyclone Winifred (1986) – one of the worst cyclones to make landfall in northern Queensland on record.
