Tony Dean (second 1949 â 18 July 2014) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and coached in the 1980s. He played at club level for Castleford, Batley, Hunslet, Hull FC and Rochdale Hornets, as a , or , and coached at club level for Wakefield Trinity and Hull F.C. (Joint Head Coach with Keith Hepworth).
Tony Dean's birth was registered in Pontefract, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, he died aged 65 of cancer in Prince of Wales hospice, Pontefract, West Yorkshire, his funeral service took place at St Cuthbert's Church, Cross Hill, Ackworth at 1pm on Friday 1 August 2014, followed by a reception at The Frog and Moose, Wakefield Road, Ackworth.
