Tokalo Wildlife Sanctuary

Tokalo Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area located in the Siaha district of Mizoram, India. Established on October 1, 2007, under the administration of the Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC), it spans 250 km<sup>2</sup> of moist deciduous and semi-evergreen forests. Situated near the Indo-Myanmar border at an altitude of 700 to 940 meters, the sanctuary is a critical biodiversity hotspot. It supports rare fauna including the Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa), Hoolock Gibbon, and Phayre's leaf monkey, and it has a rich diversity of butterflies. It is also home to Lake Palak.
