1880 - Cienfuegos becomes a city.

Theatre opens.

1913 - Tivoli Gardens (theatre) opens.

1980 - Carlos Marx cement plant begins operating.

Juragua Nuclear Power Plant

1984 - Population: 107,850 (estimate).
