The are three mountains revered by tradition in Japan. The Three Holy Mountains are:
- Mount Fuji (å¯Â士山)
- Mount Haku (ç½山) (The White Mountain) known for its UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shirakawa-gÃ
 ç½å·Âé·
- Mount Tate (ç«Âå±±) ('standing mountain') known for its onsen 温泠(Hot springs) and the cobalt blue waters of Mikurigaike ã¿ãÂÂãÂÂãÂÂæ± . It is also known for its steaming Jigokudani å°çÂÂè°· (Hell Valley)
