The Wife (Sinhala: à ·Âà ¶ºà ·Âà ·Âà ·Â) is a 2026 Sri Lankan Sinhala-language gangster drama directed by Shameera Rangana Naotunna and produced by Waruna Arambage. The film stars Hemal Ranasinghe and Udari Warnakulasooriya in lead roles along with Veena Jayakody, Lakshman Mendis, Nethalie Nanayakkara and Priyantha Seneviratne in supportive roles. Hemal and Udari share the screen for the fourth time after Adaraneeya Kathawak (2016), Ksheera Sagaraya Kalabina (2023) and Devi Kusumasana (2025).
The film received positive reviews from critics.
This is the third cinema direction by Shameera Rangana Naotunna, after two blockbusters: Motor Bicycle (2016) and Sihina Nelum Mal (2024). He also made the script of the film. Waruna Arambage is the producer and Chinthaka Somakeerthi is the cinematographer, while Tissa Surendra served as the editor and color mixer.

Sound management done by Aruna Priyantha Kalu Arachchi, art direction by Dhammika Hewaduwatte with the assistance of Nalin Hewaduwatte, Prasanna Chathuranga and Daminda Gunaratne, costume design by Madhavi Dassanayake with the assistance of Suraj Asmath, whereas sound effects by W. Podiratne. Production coordination is handled by Sinali Arambage ad production management done by Harold Karunathilaka. Assistant directors are Prasanna Wijesinghe and Anuruddha Gunasekara.
Chief lighting designer is Kosala Manoj and choreographer is Ishan Kasthuriarachchi. Buwaneka Ranawaka is the makeup artist with the assistance of Dilshan Tharuka, Chitral Somapala is the music director, where Dilipa Abeysekara and director Naotunna are the lyricists. Somapala also made background vocals with Jaya Sri Rohitha Jayalath.
Filming began after the Muhurath ceremony at Park Street Were House in February 2025.
A special screening of the film was held on 23 October 2025 at the CCC Scoop Cinema for members of the exhibition board and cinema owners. The film is released on 13 February 2026 island wide. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and achieved commercial success during its theatrical run.
