The Lathe (stylized as The LATHE) is the official student publication of Batangas State University Pablo Borbon campus in Batangas City, Philippines. It serves as the primary source of news and information for the university's student body. The publication releases newspapers, magazines, and literary folios throughout the academic year.
The publication was named after the lathe, a machine tool used to shape metal or wood, which references the university's origins as a trade school and manual training institution. The earliest known issue of The Lathe was released in 1966.
Throughout its history, the publication has reported on significant campus and community events. In February 2024, national media outlets such as The Philippine Star and The Manila Times cited reports from The Lathe regarding security incidents on campus.
