The Corn Is Green (TV play)

The Corn Is Green is a 1956 American television play based on the play by Emlyn Williams. It starred John Kerr. Kerr replaced James Dean, whose agent originally signed Dean to make it opposite Judith Anderson, the say before Dean's death.

The New York Times called it an "impeccable production" in which Le Gallienne and John Kerr "contributed sensitive and perceptive portrayals" and the play's "power and meaning remained fresh and real in the television version."

Variety wrote "production and the payoff was impressive throughout."
