The Cherry Orchard is a 1973 Australian TV adaptation of the 1904 play by Anton Chekhov.
Googie Withers appeared in the play for the Melbourne Theatre Company in 1972 directed by John Sumner. The play was also toured throughout Australia in 1973.
It was the second time a Melbourne Theatre Company production had been filmed by the ABC, the previous one being The Man Who Shot the Albatross in 1972.
