Thạch An is a rural district of Cao Bằng province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 31,942. The district covers an area of 683 km<sup>2</sup>. The district capital lies at ÃÂông Khê.
Thạch An District consists of the district capital, ÃÂông Khê, and 15 communes: ÃÂức Long, Danh Sé, Lê Lợi, ÃÂức Xuân, Trá»Âng Con, Lê Lai, Thụy Hùng, Thá» Ngân, Vân Trình, Thái Cðáng, ÃÂức Thông, Quang Trá»Âng, Minh Khai, Canh Tân and Kim ÃÂá»Âng.
