Taraka Brahma Mantra (, ), also is called Rama Taraka Mantra. According to Advaya Taraka Upanishad, it liberates (one) from the fear of womb, birth itself, old age, and death â therefore it is called TÃÂraka.
According to Rama Rahasya Upanishad Once, the sages Sanaka and others, along with various á¹Âá¹£is and devotees of Lord Viá¹£á¹Âu like PrahlÃÂda, asked HanumÃÂn: âÂÂO mighty-armed, greatly powerful son of VÃÂyu! Please tell us â In the eighteen PurÃÂá¹Âas, the eighteen Smá¹Âtis, the four Vedas, all the scriptures, and the entire spiritual knowledge â what is the ultimate Tattva taught for the seekers of Brahman? Among all the names of Viá¹£á¹Âu, and among Ganesha, Surya, Shiva, and Shakti â what is that one Supreme Tattva?â HanumÃÂn replied: 'O noble Yogis, revered á¹Âá¹£is, and devoted followers of Viá¹£á¹Âu! Listen to my words, which destroy the bondage of this world. Among all (the Vedas and scriptures), the supreme truth â the ultimate Tattva â is the liberating principle known as TÃÂraka Brahma. That TÃÂraka is none other than RÃÂma. RÃÂma alone is the Supreme Brahman. RÃÂma alone is the embodiment of the highest tapas. RÃÂma alone is the Supreme Truth. Indeed, RÃÂma is the TÃÂraka Brahma.
The six-syllabled mantra of DÃÂà Âarathi (RÃÂma) (à ¤°à ¤¾à ¤ à ¤°à ¤¾à ¤®à ¤¾à ¤¯ à ¤¨à ¤®à ¤Â) is called the TÃÂraka Brahma. Shiva says O Rama! I impart to your TÃÂraka mantra, which grants Brahman. Therefore, O Lord of Janaki, you are undoubtedly that Supreme Brahman.
