Tanner Wall is an American college football safety for the BYU Cougars.
Wall attended Yorktown High School located in Arlington County, Virginia. Coming out of high school, Wall would serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Maceio, Brazil from 2018 to 2020. He committed to play college football for the BYU Cougars joining the team as a walk-on.
During his first two seasons in 2021 and 2022 he played as a wide receiver, where he did not tally any receptions. Heading into the 2023 season, Wall switched from wide receiver to safety. During his first season at safety in 2023, he appeared in five games with three starts, notching 22 tackles. Wall entered the 2024 season, as a full-time starter in the Cougars secondary. He finished the 2024 season, starting in all 13 games, totaling 53 tackles and three interceptions. In week eight of the 2025 season, Wall recorded ten tackles and an interception in a victory versus Utah, where for his performance he was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week.
