Taniplon is a nonbenzodiazepine anxiolytic drug from the family of drugs.
Taniplon binds strongly to benzodiazepine sites on the GABA<sub>A</sub> receptor and has similar anxiolytic effects in animals, but with less sedative or muscle relaxant action.
