Sunil Gupta (born 20 July 1964) an Indian diabetologist based in Nagpur. He has worked in diabetes care and education. He is listed in the Guinness World Records for participating in the largest multi-location diabetic neuropathy screening conducted on World Diabetes Day, 14 November 2013, involving 1,676 screenings across 27 locations in India. He has been involved in diabetes awareness and clinical practice for over three decades. Currently he is serving as the President-Elect (2026) of the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI).
He was a co-author of The DiaFib-Liver Study, a large real-world assessment of liver fibrosis in individuals with type 2 diabetes in India, published in The Lancet Regional Health â Southeast Asia.
