Sunil Borkar

Sunil Borkar is a director of photography and visual effects artist, from Mumbai, India. His recent film, The Fable staring Manoj Bajpayee, Deepak Dobriyal and Priyanka Bose was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival 's Encounters segment, It is only the second Indian film in the last 30 years to premiere in one of the key competitive sections of the Berlin International Film Festival. He received the Best Cinematography award for , which was shot on 16mm film at the Critics Choice Awards 2026.

He also shot many Hindi Feature films such as Netflix's "Sacred Games" and "Eternally Confused & Eager for Love," Amazon's "Afsos," Disney+`s "Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo," and Viacom18`s "Baazaar.".

He is a native of Vadji, a farming village in northeastern Maharashtra. Due to his interest in computer science, he studied animation and started working as an animator in Pune.
