Stephanie Best (born October 16, 1969) is a retired female track and field athlete from the United States, who competed in the middle distance events. She won the bronze medal in the women's 1500 metres at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
During her athletic career, she recorded several significant achievements, including a bronze medal in the women's 1500 meters at the Pan American Games, posting a time of 4:18.44. She also secured a national indoor championship and achieved personal bests of 4:06.36 in the 1500 meters (set in 1999 Köln, Germany) and 4:34.67 in the mile (recorded indoors in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia).
While competing for Cornell University from 1987 to 1991, she earned All-American honors six times, three in the indoor mile (1989-1991), two in the outdoor 1500 meters (1990-1991), and once in cross country. In addition, she received All-Ivy recognition 12 times and set five school records in track events. In recognition of her achievements in women's track and field and cross-country, she was inducted into the Cornell Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001.
