St. Claret School, Kolkata

St. Claret School, Kolkata is a missionary english-medium school and was established at Debpukur, Barrackpore in the Jubilee year 2000. The school follows the syllabus of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). It is a co-educational school, which admits students irrespective of caste and creed. The principal is Fr. Sony John.

History

Founder

St. Anthony Mary Claret is the founder of the Claretian Congregation, which was founded originally on 16th of July, 1849. The St. Claret School, Kolkata is under the sole commandment of the Congregation.

Principal

The current principal is Fr. Sony John , the vice-principal is Fr. Michael Raj and the Secretary is Fr. Subodh Kisku.

Infrastructure

The school consists of two buildings, of which one is dedicated for nursery up to class 4 and the other building, which is the older one, has been dedicated for the students of class 5 up to class 12.

The Campus has an approximate area of 3.5 acres. Recently, there has been a development in the park section with the addition of new equipments and activities such as rock climbing, spring rides and multiple swings. The Upper primary building has a large field with adequate football goalposts and cricket stamps alongside a pitch.
