Alex "Sonny" Styles (born November 24, 2004) is an American football linebacker. He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and won the 2024 national championship with them.
Styles attended Pickerington Central High School in Pickerington, Ohio, where he notched 88 tackles with one going for a loss, a sack, two pass deflections, six interceptions, and a forced fumble in his career. On August 30, 2020, in a televised game against rival Pickerington High School North, he had nine tackles, an interception and blocked a punt. Styles also teamed with Devin Royal to help the basketball team win the 2022 OHSAA Division I state championship. He was rated a five-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Buckeyes of Ohio State University.
Styles recorded nine tackles as a freshman safety for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2022. Ahead of the 2023 season, he was named the starting safety. In his first start that season he played 49 snaps and made four tackles, 1.5 of which were for loss, as Ohio State defeated Indiana. He converted to linebacker in 2024, and played there for two seasons.
His father is former NFL linebacker Lorenzo Styles and his brother is cornerback Lorenzo Styles Jr.
