The series revolves around the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip during the Gaza war that erupted following October 7, 2023, highlighting the suffering of civilians under bombardment and siege, the deterioration of living conditions, and the collapse of infrastructure.
The series tells the story of Nasser, a Palestinian man who loses his siblings in a bombing that targets his family home. He becomes solely responsible for caring for his injured nephew, Younis, amidst a lack of medical care and the difficulty of reaching safe areas. As events unfold, Nasser faces a series of challenges, from trying to save the child and finding shelter to clinging to his land in an increasingly harsh reality. Meanwhile, Dr. Salma, an Egyptian doctor volunteering with a medical aid convoy, arrives at field hospitals in the Gaza Strip. She works under extremely difficult conditions, suffering from shortages of supplies, disruptions to basic services, and ongoing bombardment. Salma meets Nasser while he is trying to treat Younis, and a connection develops between them.
