Smithson Investment Trust is a large British investment trust dedicated to investments in small and mid sized listed or traded companies internationally with a market cap (at the time of investment) of between ã500 million to ã15 billion. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The chairman is Diana Dyer Bartlett.
The company was the subject of an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange, in which it raised ã822.5 million, in October 2018. In January 2026, the company announced a scheme of reconstruction whereby the assets of the company would be transferred to the Smithson Equity Fund. In anticipation of the reconstruction, the company was removed from the FTSE 250 Index on 6 February 2026.
