Shining Stars of Hope is a charitable cultural initiative launched by the TAKREEM Foundation that provides financial support to Lebanese actors, actresses, and performing artists affected by LebanonâÂÂs ongoing economic crisis. The initiative operates through fundraising concerts and related campaigns, with proceeds distributed to artists facing financial hardship.
LebanonâÂÂs economic and social crises have had a significant impact on the countryâÂÂs cultural and creative sectors. Many performing artists work without formal contracts or access to social security, health insurance, or consistent income. Shining Stars of Hope was established in this context as a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting artists working in Lebanon and highlighting the challenges facing the cultural sector.
Shining Stars of Hope was launched in December 2023 by the TAKREEM Foundation. The inaugural fundraising concert was held at Salle des Ambassadeurs, Casino du Liban, in Jounieh.
Subsequent editions of the initiative were organized in 2024 at the same venue and in 2025 at MusicHall Beirut.
The first concert in 2023 featured performances by Lebanese singers, actors, and musicians and marked the launch of the initiativeâÂÂs fundraising activities.
The 2024 edition expanded in scale and included multiple performers, a 21-piece orchestra, and a dance ensemble from ZIRKA.
In 2025, the concert was held at MusicHall Beirut and featured more than 20 performers. Part of the proceeds from this edition was allocated to Les Restaurants du CÃ Âur, a charitable organization providing food assistance.
In addition to live performances, Shining Stars of Hope has conducted online fundraising campaigns. These campaigns were carried out in collaboration with organizations including Meta, Alexandria Trust, and Al-Fanar Media. Published reports indicate that financial oversight for the campaign was provided by PwC.
Shining Stars of Hope is organized by the TAKREEM Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 that recognizes achievements by individuals of Arab origin across various professional fields.
The initiative has been covered by Lebanese, regional, and international media outlets, with reporting focusing on the concerts as well as the broader conditions affecting artists in Lebanon.
