Selim Yaà Âar (; born 20 February 1990), also known as Koloi Kartoev, is a wrestler of Ingush origin born in Russia who competed for Turkey from 2014 to 2021. He competed in the 86 kg freestyle category. He won silver medals at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2015 World Wrestling Championships, and a bronze medal at the 2014 World Wrestling Championships.
Yaà Âar was born in Dolakovo, Nazranovsky District, Ingushetia, Russia. At junior level, he represented Russia and won the gold medal at the 2009 World Junior Wrestling Championships in Ankara in the 84 kg category. He also won the European Junior Wrestling Championships in 2009 in Tbilisi and in 2010 in Samokov.
In 2013, he changed sporting nationality and began competing for Turkey under the name Selim Yaà Âar. In 2014, he won the bronze medal in the men's freestyle 86 kg event at the 2014 World Wrestling Championships. He also became Turkish national champion that year.
At the 2015 World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, Yaà Âar reached the final in the men's freestyle 86 kg event. He lost to Abdulrashid Sadulaev of Russia and finished with the silver medal.
At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he advanced to the final of the men's freestyle 86 kg event. He defeated Jaime Espinal of Puerto Rico, Reineris Salas of Cuba, and J'den Cox of the United States before losing to Abdulrashid Sadulaev in the final and taking the silver medal.
In 2017, he won the bronze medal at the 2017 European Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad. In the bronze-medal match, he defeated Poland's Zbigniew Baranowski by a score of 4âÂÂ3. In the same year, he won the silver medal at the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games after losing in the final to Iran's Hassan Yazdani.
