Selçuk ÃÂebi (born June 3, 1982 in Araklñ, Trabzon Province, Turkey) is a Turkish wrestler. He is a three-time world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. He studied at Ondokuz Mayñs University.
While receiving secondary education at ðmam Hatip Lisesi in his native Araklñ, ÃÂebi was advised by his father to sign up for wrestling at age 12. He became the only professional wrestler in the family of seven children. ÃÂebi graduated from the College of Physical Education of the Ondokuz Mayñs University in Samsun, after which he practiced wrestling at the Trabzon Belediyespor and ÃÂaykur Rizespor. He obtained his license at the ðstanbul Büyükà Âehir Belediyesi S.K., but continued to train in Trabzon.
He won a gold medal for Turkey at the 2005 Mediterranean Games held in AlmerÃÂa, where he competed at 66 kg.
He became a gold-medal winner in 74 kg at the 2009 World Wrestling Championships held in Herning.
