December 10 is an EnglishâÂÂIrish boy band formed on Simon Cowell's Netflix series, The Next Act in 2025. The group are signed to EMI Records. Their debut single "Run My Way", reached the top 75 of the UK Singles Chart.
In June 2024, Cowell announced auditions for his next boyband. The launch of the campaign was marked by the unveiling of a military recruitmentâÂÂstyle billboard in London, featuring the slogan: "Simon needs you! Future megastars wanted for new boyband. No time wasters". The auditions were open exclusively to applicants from the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, targeting teenagers aged between 16 and 18.
Commenting on the project, Cowell stated that âÂÂEvery generation deserves a megastar boyband, and I donâÂÂt think there has been one with the success of One Direction in over 14 yearsâÂÂ. He also noted that the music industry has increasingly focused on solo artists, adding that it often takes an external figure to assemble a successful group. Cowell emphasized the appeal of group dynamics, highlighting the enjoyment of touring internationally and performing for large audiences.
On 10 December 2025, a six-episode documentary series titled Simon Cowell: The Next Act was released on Netflix, documenting the audition process and the formation of the band. Cowell had initially planned to select only five of the contestants for the band, but ended up keeping all the seven finalists, saying "seven people just popped". Five days later, the group released their first song on YouTube, a cover of NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye".
On 30 January 2026, the band released their first single titled "Run My Way", which charted at No. 68 on the UK singles chart.
On Marchâ¯10,â¯2026, the band released their second single, âÂÂAngelâÂÂ, following the momentum from their debut single âÂÂRun My Wayâ and their exposure on Simon Cowell: The Next Act. The single was released with an official music video and further expanded the groupâÂÂs pop sound, quickly gaining attention from fans across social media and streaming platforms. The release was supported by additional promotional appearances and performances as the band continued to build their international audience.
