Roommates is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Chandler Levack and written by Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara O'Sullivan. The film stars Sadie Sandler and Chloe East. It tells the story of two college freshmen â one naive, the other cool and confident â who become roommates as they face different obstacles of living in the same dormitory.
Roommates is scheduled to be released on Netflix on April 17, 2026.
A hopeful, naive college freshman, Devon, asks the cool and confident Celeste to be her roommate, seeing a blossoming friendship spiral thereafter into a war of passive aggression.
The film was announced to be in production in July 2025. It was also confirmed that Sarah Sherman, Natasha Lyonne, Nick Kroll, Sadie Sandler, Chloe East and Storm Reid were part of the cast.
Principal photography began in June 2025, in different locations of New Jersey.
Roommates is scheduled to be released on Netflix on April 17, 2026.
