The Riverside Miniature Railway (RMR) is a miniature railway in Riverside Park, Eaton Ford, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Founded by Ivan Hewlett, the railway is run on a not-for-profit (CIC), community basis.
Founded in 2016 after receiving planning approval on 3 November of that year, the railway was the initiative of local enthusiast Ivan Kewlett, who envisioned it as a community-focused attraction inspired by his earlier involvement with miniature railway projects.
Since 2024, it has operated as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, prioritizing accessibility and environmental responsibility. Its services are run using a combination of live steam, diesel, and battery-powered locomotives, representing both standard and narrow-gauge designs, and it also allows visitors to operate their own insured locomotives by prior arrangement. By 2025, the track had been extended to 456 meters with a minimum curve radius of 60 feet, and the railway had transported more than 83,000 passengers since opening. It offers low-cost rides at ã1 (with free entry for children under two, as of 2025), operating on Sundays between 12:00 and 16:00 from Easter through October, as well as on selected Wednesdays during the summer holidays.
The club was started in April 2016, and the railway opened in July 2017.
The main railway is gauge, with an additional rail to allows gauge trains to run. G scale trains can also be run using the outer rails.
