The R551 is a Regional Route in Gauteng, South Africa that connects Evaton and Orange Farm with the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve via Meyerton.
Its western terminus is at a junction with the R553 (Golden Highway), south of Drieziek. The road runs east along Saint Patrick Road, tracing the boundary between Evaton in the Emfuleni Local Municipality to the south and Orange Farm in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality to the north, until it hits a T-junction and swings north-east as Rose Road. Crossing into the Midvaal Local Municipality, it meets the R82 (Old Johannesburg Road) at a second T-junction in De Deur. The R551 follows the R82 south for 750 metres before branching off east-south-east as Weilback Road.
Entering Meyerton, the route picks up the M61 metropolitan route before reaching the R59 freeway (Sybrand van Niekerk Freeway) at an interchange. Past the R59, the M61 splits away to the north while the R551 pushes east through the southern fringe of Meyerton's town centre. At the T-junction with Pierneef Boulevard, the road turns north, cuts through the eastern side of the town centre, then bends east once more. It skirts the southern edge of Henley on Klip, crosses the Klip River, and intersects the R557 before terminating at the R42, near the south-western corner of the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve, 16 kilometres west-south-west of Heidelberg. ```
