PomA is a protein that is part of the stator in Na<sup>+</sup> driven bacterial flagella. It has a high degree of homology to MotA, and Rhodobacter sphaeroides MotA can functionally complement a non-motile Vibrio alginolyticus with a non-functional pomA gene.
