Poiana Lacului is a commune in ArgeàCounty, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of thirteen villages: CÃÂtunaÃÂi, Cepari, Dealu OraÃÂului, Dealu Viilor, DinculeÃÂti, GÃÂleÃÂeanu, GÃÂrdineÃÂti, GâlceÃÂti, Metofu, PÃÂduroiu din Deal, PÃÂduroiu din Vale, Poiana Lacului, and SÃÂmara.
The commune lies on the banks of the river Cotmeana, in a hilly area of the Wallachian Plain. It is located in the central part of ArgeÃÂ County, west of the county seat, PiteÃÂti.
