Phú Lương district

PhÃÂº LÃÂ°ÃÂ¡ng was a rural district of ThÃÂ¡i NguyÃÂªn province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. As of 2003, the district had a population of 106,834. The district covers an area of 369 km<sup>2</sup>. The district capital lies at .

Administrative divisions

After 1996, PhÃÂº LÃÂ°ÃÂ¡ng had 3 towns: ÃÂu, ChÃ¡Â»Â£ MÃ¡Â»Âi, Giang TiÃÂªn and 23 communes: BÃÂ¬nh VÃÂn, CÃ¡Â»Â LÃÂ©ng, ÃÂÃ¡Â»Âng ÃÂÃ¡ÂºÂ¡t, HÃ¡Â»Â£p ThÃÂ nh, NhÃÂ° CÃ¡Â»Â, NÃÂ´ng HÃ¡ÂºÂ¡, NÃÂ´ng ThÃ¡Â»Ânh, ÃÂn LÃÂ°ÃÂ¡ng, PhÃ¡ÂºÂ¥n MÃ¡Â»Â, PhÃÂº ÃÂÃÂ´, PhÃ¡Â»Â§ LÃÂ½, QuÃ¡ÂºÂ£ng Chu, SÃÂ¡n CÃ¡ÂºÂ©m, Thanh ÃÂÃÂ¬nh, TÃ¡Â»Â©c Tranh, VÃÂ´ Tranh, YÃÂªn CÃÂ°, YÃÂªn ÃÂÃÂ©nh, YÃÂªn ÃÂÃ¡Â»Â, YÃÂªn HÃÂ¢n, YÃÂªn LÃ¡ÂºÂ¡c, YÃÂªn Ninh, YÃÂªn TrÃ¡ÂºÂ¡ch.

History

On January 1st, 1997, ThÃÂ¡i NguyÃÂªn was established from BÃ¡ÂºÂ¯c ThÃÂ¡i province, transferred 9 communes and 1 town, YÃÂªn HÃÂ¢n, YÃÂªn CÃÂ°, NhÃÂ° CÃ¡Â»Â, BÃÂ¬nh VÃÂn, QuÃ¡ÂºÂ£n Chu, YÃÂªn ÃÂÃÂ©nh, Thanh BÃÂ¬nh, NÃÂ´ng HÃ¡ÂºÂ¡, NÃÂ´ng ThÃ¡Â»Ânh and ChÃ¡Â»Â£ MÃ¡Â»Âi town was transferred to BÃ¡ÂºÂ¡ch ThÃÂ´ng district, BÃ¡ÂºÂ¯c KÃ¡ÂºÂ¡n

On December 13, 2013, ÃÂu was expanded by incorporating 339,77 ha of ÃÂÃ¡Â»Âng ÃÂÃ¡ÂºÂ¡t and 388,08 ha of PhÃ¡ÂºÂ¥n MÃ¡Â»Â.

On August 18th, 2017, SÃÂ¡n CÃ¡ÂºÂ©m commune was transferred to ThÃÂ¡i NguyÃÂªn city under NghÃ¡Â»Â quyÃ¡ÂºÂ¿t sÃ¡Â»Â 422/NQ-UBTVQH14.

On December 1st, 2024, PhÃ¡ÂºÂ¥n MÃ¡Â»Â was dissolved, the areas was integrated into ÃÂu and Giang TiÃÂªn under NghÃ¡Â»Â quyÃ¡ÂºÂ¿t sÃ¡Â»Â 1240/NQ-UBTVQH15.

On June, 2025. the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam passed NghÃ¡Â»Â quyÃ¡ÂºÂ¿t sÃ¡Â»Â 1683/NQ-UBTVQH15. In which,

ÃÂu, Giang TiÃÂªn, YÃÂªn LÃ¡ÂºÂ¡c and ÃÂÃ¡Â»Âng ÃÂÃ¡ÂºÂ¡t merged into PhÃÂº LÃÂ°ÃÂ¡ng commune
YÃÂªn TrÃ¡ÂºÂ¡ch, YÃÂªn Ninh, and YÃÂªn ÃÂÃ¡Â»Â merged into YÃÂªn TrÃ¡ÂºÂ¡ch commune
ÃÂn LÃÂ°ÃÂ¡ng, PhÃ¡Â»Â§ LÃÂ½ and HÃ¡Â»Â£p ThÃÂ nh merged into HÃ¡Â»Â£p ThÃÂ nh commune
