Phryganopteryx is a genus of Madagascan moths in the monotypic subtribe Phryganopterygina of the family Erebidae. The genus was erected by Max Saalmüller in 1884. The type species of this genus is Phryganopteryx strigilata <small>Saalmüller, 1878</small>.
