Petreni is a commune in Drochia District, Moldova. It is composed of two villages, Petreni and PopeÃÂtii Noi. At the 2004 census, the commune had 1,179 inhabitants.
Petreni is a renowned settlement of Cucuteni-Trypillian culture.
