The story follows the protagonist, Touya Senji, who joins the "Forest of the Greats" to fight against a rival organization, the "Sinners", who resurrect infamous and evil historical figures. The story explores identity, morality, and the struggle between embracing a past life and forging a new future.

An anime television series adaptation was announced on August 1, 2024. The series will be produced by Benten Film and directed by Shun Kudà Â, with Kà Âsuke Murayama serving as assistant director, Atsuo Ishino handling series composition, Haruna Katà  designing the characters and Kohta Yamamoto composing the music. It is set to premiere on April 3, 2026 on Tokyo MX and BS NTV. The opening theme song, "Glitch", is performed by eill, while the ending theme song, "ZERO", is performed by Sizuk. The series is also co-produced by Sentai Filmworks and will be streamed on Hidive. Medialink licensed the series in South and Southeast Asia for streaming on Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel.
By August 2024, the series had over 3 million copies in circulation.
